Compassionate End-of-Life Care
Quality of Life at End-Of-Life
I believe quality of life at the end-of-life is exemplified when we respect and fulfill the individual wishes of those nearing the end. By developing a comprehensive end-of-life care plan that addresses pain and symptom management, includes legacy projects, fosters connections with loved ones, and creates a tranquil resting environment, we transform the process of dying into a deeply meaningful and sacred experience.
Hello and welcome!
After the unexpected loss of my dad in 2019 and my sister-in-law a little over a year later, I encountered death and grief in a profoundly new way. My family and I had minimal support and often felt as though we were navigating difficult decisions without clear guidance.
I deeply believe that death is a natural part of life’s cycle and with the right space and support, we can develop a more meaningful and understanding relationship with its mysteries.
Whether you need support for yourself or a loved one dealing with a terminal illness, assistance with end-of-life planning, or help navigating the complexities of grief, I am here to support you.

What is an End-of-Life Doula?
As an end-of-life or death doula, I provide compassionate care through practical, emotional, and spiritual support for individuals and their families during this time.
My holistic approach respects each person's unique needs and offers resources to help families make informed decisions while feeling fully supported throughout the process.
I aim to normalize end-of-life care by fostering safe spaces for open discussions about this sensitive and vulnerable subject.

Together, we will develop a written plan that outlines the client’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wishes for their final hours, days, weeks, or months.
We can also review and finalize any advance directives, such as Medical Power of Attorney, Five Wishes, MOLST, and more.
Having these directives in place can provide significant peace of mind to both clients and their loved ones, allowing them to focus on what truly matters—the matters of the heart.
-
Caring for our loved ones over extended periods can be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding.
As a respite caregiver, I offer temporary relief to those tending to the terminally ill and dying. Whether you need a nature walk, a trip to the store, or just some time for a shower or nap, you can trust that your loved one is being well cared for while you recharge and restore your energy.

As someone nears the end of life, their perspectives on spirituality may evolve as they reflect on their life’s meaning and purpose. This can lead some individuals to feel a deeper connection to their spirituality, while others might experience spiritual distress.
I am here to provide a supportive space and actively listen as clients explore their thoughts and questions about spirituality and the dying process. If desired, I can also connect them with additional resources or spiritual leaders from their faith, such as priests, rabbis, or ministers.

Grief can manifest in many forms as we approach the end of life. Together, we can explore gentle ways to engage honestly with the grief experienced each day.
There is often confusion and misinformation about the timelines and symptoms of grief. Each person's grief is unique, reflecting their individual experiences and emotions.
-
We will create a vision for an environment that truly reflects what matters most to you in your final moments.
If desired, I can be present during the active dying phase to support both my client and their loved ones.

I support individuals who are eligible for and choose MAiD (Medical Aid in Dying).
