Meet Ashley Parsons

I’ve always been captivated by the mysteries of the human body. From aiding in healing as a neuromuscular massage therapist to enhancing well-being as a health coach, my curiosity and passion for understanding how our bodies work have been a constant driving force for me.

After unexpectedly losing my dad in 2019 and then my sister-in-law a little over a year later, I encountered a new phase of life that left me feeling unprepared and overwhelmed. My family and I had minimal support and often found ourselves navigating difficult decisions without a clear path. I wondered if there was a better way to navigate this part of the journey with more support.

As a certified end-of-life doula, I'm here to support you and your loved ones as you prepare for the end-of-life journey. Though we set goals and create plans for other areas of our lives, we often neglect to discuss or plan for our deaths, missing the chance to shape a vision that reflects our values. With thoughtful planning and open conversation, we can explore the choices available to us in this inevitable process.

In my Buena Vista community, alongside my work as a doula, I also serve as a caregiver and facilitate Death Cafés to provide a space for people to discuss and explore their questions about death and dying. Additionally, I contribute to a grief support committee in Salida, where our goal is to expand grief support resources throughout Chaffee County and beyond.

In my free time, I love to kayak, hike, and spend time at the barn with my daughter!
